Eco Net Event
On Monday 9th June 2025 at The Lagoon Leisure Centre in Paisley, RenCAN Hub worked in partnership with Renfrewshire Youth Services, and Climate Change Champions, Erskine (secondary aged pupils) to co-host an Eco Net event - a networking and learning event for young people across Renfrewshire. The day brought together 99 pupils, youth workers, school staff, and local organisations to explore climate action, sustainability, and green careers.

The event aimed to:

Empower young people (ages 11–16) to connect with like-minded peers and adults

Increase awareness and understanding of sustainability issues

Introduce green careers and pathways

Showcase what local schools and eco groups are doing

The day featured:

Opening talks from key speakers

A Green Careers Panel

Breakout workshops (on sustainability, careers, networking)

A marketplace of stalls and interactive zones

Networking opportunities for youth workers and teachers

The aim was to foster connections, provide real-world inspiration, and help young people imagine their roles in climate action.
