Nature conservation and restoration
RenCAN partners with local conservation charities such as Eadha and Clyde Muirshiel Regional Park to create opportunities for people to get outside and experience the physical and mental health benefits of the outdoors - connecting with nature and each other. In this way, we tackle the social justice issues facing Renfrewshire, as well as completing vital adaptation work in the face of the climate crisis. In short, planting trees up the hills prevents flooding lower down. We are bringing in the people of Renfrewshire to be part of the solution. So far, we've worked with Star Project, Kairos Women+, Pachedu, and the Tannahill Centre to plant over 3500 trees. In 2025, we plan to do a whole lot more.
