About RenCAN
Renfrewshire Climate Action Network (RenCAN) is a network of community-led organisations and individuals committed to tackling climate change in the Renfrewshire area.
RenCAN is hosted by the RenCAN Hub which is part of LEAP (Local Energy Action Plan). RenCAN Hub is based in Lochwinnoch.

Our Vision
We envision Renfrewshire as a place where people flourish in diverse communities and have their needs met, with a natural environment that is balanced, restored and well-adapted to the climate challenge. Communities are well-connected, and local produce and sustainable work opportunities are accessible to all.
Our Aims
RenCAN and RenCAN Hub’s aims are to
- Support the people of Renfrewshire to engage in meaningful climate action,
- Create tangible outcomes for people and communities that enhance wellbeing, equity and inclusivity,
- Enable local learning and work opportunities congruent with Just Transition principles, and
- Support local organisations to network around climate action.
